To add a new shipping option, select "New Shipping Option" from the "Shipping Options" menu.
This will open the following window:
1. Enter the Shipping method name you would like displayed to the customer (for example, "UPS Ground") in the "Option Name" field
2. Select the shipping-option-type in the "Shipping Table Type" dropdown box
- Weight - shipping is calculated based upon the total weight of products in the cart (excluding products marked as having no shipping charges applied)
- Currency - shipping is calculated based upon the shopping cart subtotal (excluding products marked as having no shipping charges applied)
- Flat - shipping is calculated based upon a flat rate per order (this option allows only a single entry)
- Flat-Each - shipping is calculated based upon a flat rate per item in the cart (excluding products marked as having no shipping charges applied; also allows only a single entry)
- Flat-Base-Each - shipping is calculated based upon a fixed base price per order plus a flat rate per item in the cart (excluding products marked as having no shipping charges applied; also allows only a single entry)
3. Select the Product Restriction Type in the "Product Restriction Type" dropdown box (implementing product-based restrictions in the custom shipping module requires that all of your products have unique skus)
- Restricted - allows you to specify a list of products that will make this shipping option unavailable if any products you select are added to the cart
- Allowed (exclusive) - allows you to specify a list of products that will make this shipping option available only if all of the products in the cart match the products you have allowed for this shipping option.
- Allowed (inclusive) - allows you to specify a list of products that will make this shipping option available if any of the products in the cart match the products you have allowed for this shipping option.
4. Select whether this shipping option should be "enabled" or "disabled" by default (you may wish to set the option as "disabled" until you have finished setting it up)
5. Click "Save" and the table will be added under the appropriate category in the "Shipping Tables" (left) pane of the application. Expand the category and click on the new shipping table to edit the new shipping option.
