Order Status Module Documentation (Version 2.0)
Requirements:
• ShopSite Pro, version 6.3 or higher
How it works:
• The module will tie in with orders being placed on your site via an order API script. This data is then inserted into the Order Status module via a MySQL database. You can login and update each order with current status, tracking numbers, and comments to the customer and/or internal comments to your staff. Customers can enter their order number and zip code to view current order status.
• The display to the customer is controlled by creating a webpage in your site that will be used by the software as a template. This webpage can be created in ShopSite or created via your web editing program of choice. In the webpage, you simply need to put the following text wherever you want the module to output the orderstatus:
[orderstatus]
• The page you create that is used as the template for outputing the order status to the customer is defined in the settings.php file. Note that the URL to the order status module is not to the template webpage, but to the directory where the order status module is installed (i.e. http://www.your_domain.com/orderstatus/).
• The order status module can be integrated into the customer registration section of ShopSite 7 (or newer) so that the order status is displayed when a customer views a past order (Requires ShopSite Pro and the use of a custom customer registration template that LexiConn can provide).
New features introduced in version 2.0 include:
• Merchant can edit orders, including products, prices, etc.
• Merchant can edit their comments on an order to customer and/or internal comments.
• Merchant can delete an order.
• Merchant can delete items in an order.
• Merchant can add items to an order.
• Merchant can manually add a new order into the software through 'Enter New Order' interface (e.g. phone orders, mail orders, etc.).
• There is now a settings web interface where merchants can add/edit/delete shipping statuses smoothly, change email address, subject title, etc.
• Ability to support multiple tracking numbers, partial shipments / statuses.
• Improved export function.
- The list of open orders is now paginated.
* If you do not have these features available, your site is likely running an older version of the module. Feel free to email
