THE LATEST VERSION OF SHOPSITE IS: 11 SP1

SHOPSITE 11 SP1 RELEASED!

We are pleased to announce that the latest version of ShopSite, v11 SP1, has been released! This is a “MUST-HAVE” upgrade for all ShopSite merchants.

Major new features include:
- Mobile website option
- Support for Amazon Checkout
- Google +1 button support
- Google Product Search enhancements
- “Dynamic” order anywhere code
- Barcode support on completed orders

This version has been thoroughly tested by ShopSite and LexiConn. We have a number of merchants who have been running this version for a few weeks without any issues.

Upgrades will be performed in the order they are received, and should be completed within 1-2 business days of receiving the request.

TELL A FRIEND DISABLED

Recently, spammers found a way to use the Tell a Friend feature in ShopSite to send spam emails. This has forced both ShopSite and LexiConn to remove the old Tell a Friend feature from the software. (The new “Share With Friends” feature offers this functionality and more.)

Because of this, ShopSite has released a patch that we have applied to all 10 SP2 and version 11 ShopSite stores.

The patch does the following:

1. If a merchant was using the old Tell a Friend feature, it has been automatically adjusted to use the newer “Share with Friends” feature through addThis. This new “sharing” option offers sharing by email, as well as making it easy for customers to share a link on the major social media platforms.

2. It removes the old Tell a Friend feature from the backoffice.

If you are running an older version of ShopSite before version 10 SP1, Tell a Friend has been disabled. Please do not re-enable this feature, as it allows spammers to send unlimited spam emails through your website.
