Version 11 SP1 Patches Applied
ShopSite has released a number of new patches for version 11 SP1. We have applied these patches to all hosted ShopSite stores running version 11 SP1.The patches address the following issues:
* fixes an issue where, beginning about January 22nd, 2012, USPS real-time shipping rates for First Class Mail would not be included in the cart for a product that was using the ‘First Class Package’ USPS Shipping Container type and that should be eligible for First Class Mail (has a weight 13 ounces or less)
* fixes an issue with Base Plus Shipping calculations where products with Advanced Ordering Options would not have the per-product shipping charges added to the shipping total for the first shipping option (which is named ‘Ground’ by default, but could have been named something else by the merchant).
* fixes an issue where USPS international shipping options contained two Priority Mail International options with different prices. Now one of the options will have (insured) appended to indicate that the price includes insurance where available.
* fixes an issue with PayPal Express Checkout where certain shoppers would receive an ‘Required payment processing parameter missing – SHIPTOSTREET’ error message if PayPal did not provide a value in this parameter to ShopSite
* fixes an issue with Google Checkout callbacks after completed orders not being processed properly (and the completed Google Checkout transaction NOT resulting in a completed order in ShopSite) for orders where shoppers redeemed a Gift Certificate along with using Google Checkout
* fixes an issue with Amazon Payments where shoppers with products in their carts that had space characters in the SKU would not be able to checkout via Amazon Payments
* fixes an issue with Amazon Payments where some shopper addresses in completed Amazon Payments orders would have ‘[Address on file]‘ in the first Address line in the ShopSite order
Add Coupon and Product at the Same Time
In the past, there has been no functionality have a coupon and product added at the same time with just one “add to cart” click using ShopSite. We’ve developed some JavaScript/Ajax code that has now made this possible. The code allows you to define a coupon code to be added at the same time a specific product is added.
This works well for promos, email marketing, etc… where adding both a coupon and product is desired.
If you would like to use this feature in your store, drop us an email, and we can provide the code and instructions for using it in your website.
In-Stock Notification Module
Last month we introduced this new module. It allows you to not only inform customers when an item is out of stock, but allow them to enter their email address and be automatically notified when the item is back in stock. We’ve put together a demo page showing both an inline notification and a pop-up method notification for an out of stock product. You can see the demo in action at:
