    Whynopadlock.com Enhanced

    New scanning service now live!

As discussed in previous newsletters, your website should be running entirely over SSL (https). Google has been pushing this for the last few years, and it is now the standard on the internet. Additionally, recent browser updates make it more obvious which sites aren’t running over SSL as they display the dreaded “Not Secure” label next to your domain name. If your site isn’t running entirely over SSL, let us know and we can assist with converting your website so that it is accessed solely via https.

Several years ago we launched whynopadlock.com in an effort to help website owners pinpoint security issues on their https pages. This site has become increasingly popular over time, especially with many sites converting to all SSL. This month we released an updated version of the site with many enhancements, including:

    • Bulk scan a site with URLs from a sitemap or a list of URLs
    • Set up scheduled scans
    • View history of scan results

This can be useful if you converted your website in the past to all SSL, but wanted to periodically scan your site for insecure pages to be sure that new pages or modifications were not introducing insecure elements.

Feel free to try out this new service! We are offering ten free credits for any new sign ups (no credit card required):
