    Optimizing Your Busy Site

Whether your site is busy all year round, or you need to ramp up for a particular season or event, we can help you to achieve optimal performance.

Appreciable speed gains can be realized for any site that makes proper use of a CDN and Premium DNS. A CDN allows your static assets, e.g. images, to be distributed across the globe so that visitors load them from the location nearest to them. Premium DNS returns lookups several times faster than normal DNS lookups, thereby allowing new visitors to load the site more quickly. More detailed information about each service can be found at:

If you use WordPress as the CMS for your site, the WP Rocket Caching Plugin makes WordPress pages much faster. The plugin uses many techniques such as page caching, cache preloading, lazy loading of images, minification, deferred JS/CSS loading, and database optimizations. All of this combines to drastically improve the speed of any WP site, blog, or WooCommerce store. More details about this plugin as well as an order form are located here:

If you are running Magento 2 as your ecommerce platform and your store is hosted on a VPS or Managed Server plan, implementing Varnish is an excellent way to see significant gains. Varnish is open source, and it caches files in memory. This allows it to reduce response time as well as bandwidth consumption. Feel free to email us if you are interested in exploring the use of Varnish with your M2 store and we’ll review and advise accordingly. More details about how it works and implementation can be found at:

If your site is too large for a shared hosting plan, or you require dedicated resources for your site to run optimally, we have a variety of plans that can be customized to your exact needs. These options start with a Managed VPS and go all the way up to a multi server load balanced solution splitting off traffic and functions across multiple machines. If you are entering your busy season or have a television appearance (i.e. concentrated traffic) coming up, let us know and we’ll review your set up and make sure you have all of the necessary resources.
