Configuring In-Stock Notification Module Settings

The In-Stock Notification Module settings can be changed by clicking on the Settings button on the top menu:


1. From Address: the from address that will be used when sending in-stock or purge notifications to customers

2. From Name: the from name that will be used when sending in-stock or purge notifications to customers (can be the same as your From Address)

3. Email Format: whether you would like notification emails sent in text or html format (there are separate templates for each, so make sure you check the email template that will be sent if you change the email format)

4. Home URL: the URL that will be used in place of a link to the product if the product URL cannot be determined. This is set by default to your home page, but you could enter the URL of a page on your site with a custom message if you would like.

5. Email Subject: the subject of in-stock notification emails (can contain any of the template tags available to the email templates)

6. Purge Email Subject: the subject of purge notification emails (can contain any of the template tags available to the email templates)

7. Notification Type: inline notifications will display the out-of-stock message and out-of-stock notification form directly on the page whereas popup will display both in a javascript popup

8. Purge Emails: check this box to enable in-stock notification requests that have remained in the system a specified amount of days to be purged with the option of notifying the customer that the product will not be back in stock

9. Purge After Days: the number of days to retain in-stock notification requests before purging them

10. Purge Action: whether to purge the in-stock requests from the system after the specified number of days silently or with an email notification to the customer. The purge notification email can be customized by eding the Email Purge Templates in Templates->Edit Email Templates
