Tip 1: Enhance the search feature
Shopsite 6.1 offers the ability to highly customize the Search feature in your store. These settings can be adjusted by going to:
Preferences -> Search Settings
* If you want numbers to be searchable for your store as well as words, check the box “Index numbers”.
* (Shopsite Pro Only) If people often search for only part of name, or part of a SKU, you can set the search feature to index partial words as well. Under the Advanced Search section, you should set the options for Search Terms as:
Stems (wild-carded: forces simplified basic mode)
-or-
Whole words with Auto new search checked as well
-and-
make sure *STEM* checkboxes are selected as appropriate for matching either the beginning of a word, the end, or both.
* Speed up your searches by making sure common words are included in your Stop List on the Search Settings Page.
