Scanalert “Hacker Safe” rating now available

ScanAlert has developed a “Hacker Safe” rating for websites that meet the strictest security requirements. LexiConn has worked diligently to insure all of our servers meet this requirement. This service enables you to place a “meter” (dynamic image) on your web site that displays the Hacker Safe rating. This allows potential customers to verify your site’s security as well as read about the proactive steps that are being taken to keep their purchases and sensitive data secure.

Integrate your customer mailing list with Shopsite

LexiConn makes it simple to automatically integrate your customer mailing list and Shopsite Pro. You can combine the power and ease of use of the Majordomo mailing list software, with the automatic addition of customers who choose to be added to your mailing list or ezine. With Shopsite Pro 6.1.1, you can easily add a checkbox on the checkout screen that customers can check to be added to your mailing list. LexiConn provides a seamless script that can take their email address, and automatically subscribe them to your Majordomo mailing list.

The Majordomo mailing list system is quite robust, allowing you to easily manage your list, add, remove, and view your members. One can also set subscribe options and post to your list right from your web browser. We have recently added the ability to send HTML formatted emails, plain text emails, or a combination of the two. This software can send your newsletter to thousands of addresses, making it a great solution for any size list.

Shopsite 6.1 tip

Order multiple products with one “add to cart” button

With the latest 6.1.1 version of Shopsite, it is now possible to order multiple products to your shopping cart by clicking only one “add to cart button. Using this set up, you would create a web page with multiple products that a customer could then select via checkbox. The “add to cart” button on the page would then add all selected items to the shopping cart at one time.

The solution requires the use of custom page and product templates. With custom templates, you can control the look, feel, and all content on each and every page that Shopsite creates. There is a small learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it opens up many design opportunities and functionality improvements.
