Add-ons to Communicate With Your CustomersKeeping in contact with customers that have purchased from your store is an important way to promote customer loyalty and repeat sales. Here are a few ideas that can help:
Order status updates via email: Sending an email when an item ships, providing a tracking number, or emailing if there is a delay in processing are simple ways to engage a customer after the sale. Our free Order Status Module can help automate this task and help cut down on customer service phone calls and emails.

Follow up after the sale: Inquiring about a purchase experience, making your company available for any questions, and requesting product reviews a few days or weeks after a sale are great ways to keep your company in front of your customers. You can use our free, updated Product Review Module to send automated “review request” emails with direct links to the products they purchased, or our low cost mailing list solution to send automated customer care follow-ups.

New Tutorial – Hide Payment OptionsWe have posted a new ShopSite Tutorial that covers how to hide payment options in the cart. This can be handy for merchants that only want certain payment types to be visible to affiliates or a specific customer registration group. It could even be adjusted to not include options such as check / purchase order for digital downloads.
Read more about it in our Tutorials Section of our website.

P.S. – We also updated our Restrict Shipping Options tutorial to include examples of hiding shipping options with JavaScript.
