ShopSite 7.1 released

ShopSite has released the latest version of their ecommerce software, version 7.1.1. This new version has many added features, as well as a few bug fixes and improved performance. Some of the main new features are:

- Gift Certificate support (Pro)
- New coupon features (Pro)
- Templatable search results
- New payment gateways, enhanced Paypal support
- Customer Registration improved (no security warnings, direct link to sign-in from any webpage)

LexiConn has extensively tested the new version, and it is a seamless and stable upgrade from any previous version of ShopSite.

If you are currently running any previous ShopSite version 7 release, or if you lease the software, the upgrade is free. You may email mailroom@lexiconn.com to request the upgrade or fill out the upgrade request form at the link below.

If you are running an older version of ShopSite (v4, v5, v6), and you previously purchased your store license, the upgrade fee to go to version 7.1 is a one time fee of $125 for Manager, or $325 for Pro. You will need to fill out the request form below to request the upgrade.

Tip: Linking customer registration in ShopSite 7.1

With ShopSite Pro 7.1, you now have the ability to have a link directly to the sign-in feature of customer registration. You can add this link on any webpage for easy sign-ins by returning customers without having to go to the shopping cart first.

To do this, you can either use the javascript code provided by ShopSite in the backoffice under:
Commerce Setup -> Customer Registration -> Configure
which will add a dynamic sign-in text area that asks the user to sign-in or register based on cookie settings on their computer.

Alternatively, you can manually create the link via a URL such as:
http://www.your_domain.com/cgi-your_domain/sb/order.cgi?func=2&storeid=XXX&html_reg=html

where XXX is your encrypted storeid. If you do not know your storeid, you can view it in the javascript link in the backoffice in the Configure section of Customer Registration.
