New Mailing List Solution – Email Marketing
LexiConn is excited to announce the availability of a new ShopSite Module and mailing list solution. Although Majordomo has served its purpose over the years, it has become a dated program, and its bulk mailing approach is being blocked by many ISP’s that consider this method of sending email to be a sign of spam.

The new mailing list system is a full featured solution that can integrate seamlessly with any ShopSite Pro store for automatic subscriptions and follow-up auto responses for improved customer service. Some of the major mailing list features are:

    - Built-in campaign editor for personalized email campaigns
    - Send html, text, or multipart emails
    - Create multiple lists for different categories
    - Schedule sending right away or in the future
    - Complete statistics and reporting
    - Autoresponder system to send automated follow-ups
    - One click unsubscribe, auto bounce handling
    - Tell a friend marketing

A full breakdown of the features and pricing can be found at:
    http://www.lexiconn.com/services/mailing_list.html

Through an order API in ShopSite, customers who place an order can be automatically subscribed to a “ShopSite customer” mailing list. You can then setup autoresponders to send pre-set emails at any interval (1 day, 1 week, 1 month) for purposes such as thanking them for their order, asking if they have any questions, inviting them to review the products they ordered, etc…

The API can also subscribe those customers who check the checkbox on the checkout page to your newsletter mailing list for any upcoming email campaigns that you send.

    Wishlist Module Upgrade
LexiConn’s Wishlist / Gift Registry Module has been recently upgraded. Previously, when a customer added an item from a wishlist to the cart and goes to checkout, they had to lookup or manually type the wishlist username for the purchase to be recorded correctly. This would sometimes cause confusion or simply be missed by the customer, resulting in the item not being decremented correctly from the wishlist.

Now, for any ShopSite Pro store that has their own SSL certificate, we have added functionality to auto-populate this field on the checkout page based on a cookie setting, so the customer does not have to type it in or look it up for the purchase to be recorded properly. This functionality requires an individual SSL certificate as the checkout page URL has to match the wishlist URL for the cookie to be read by the module.

This new feature has already been installed for existing wishlist owners that have their own SSL certificate.

    What are customers searching for?
Having a search feature on your e-commerce website is a great way to help prospective buyers find and purchase the items for which they are looking. However, to get the most out of your search feature and continue to make it more effective, as well as learn what new items you could be selling, recording and analyzing these search queries is essential.

We offer a free search module that allows you to capture all searches performed on your site, and gives you the tools needed to analyze these searches. Extract important information such as which searches return no results, view the most popular search terms, how many results are returned for search terms, view search patterns of individual users to see how customers interact with the search feature, and more. Full details on this module may be seen on our website at:

As always, feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Complete contact and support options can be found at:

    Sincerely,
    - The LexiConn Team
