Version 10 r6 patches applied
LexiConn has patched all version 10 r6 stores with the latest patches from ShopSite. These patches corrected a number of small bugs and issues with version 10. Any store that was already upgraded to version 10 has been automatically patched. Details can be found in the ShopSite KB at:
http://support.shopsite.com/KBase/questions/2514/
The upgrade to version 10 is free of charge for any client leasing ShopSite, and is free for any ShopSite license owner running version 9. Full details on version 10 and the upgrade form can be found on our website at:

Linking to External Pages
An interesting workaround for having external links in your ShopSite store was posted on the ShopSite User Forum at:
http://support.shopsite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6285
This would allow you to create “dummy” pages in ShopSite that are actually links to non-ShopSite pages, but include them in the Assigned pages/links in your store.
Essentially, you create a page in ShopSite, and in the “Link Name Field” you add html code for a link to an external page, i.e.:
About Us
You then assign this page to all the ShopSite pages where you want this external link to appear, and it will link to this non-ShopSite page/URL.
ShopSite Cookbook entries
In October, we talked about a worthwhile, new source of information called the ShopSite Cookbook, which ShopSite has compiled. It has a number of quality tips and example code for customizing your ShopSite store and templates, and is located at:
http://www.shopsite.com/templates/cookbook/index.html
They have introduced a few new entries including a great series on Quick & Easy Templates, and Adding Terms & Conditions on Checkout. Reference:
