Description: Costumes for all occasions boasts over five-thousand costumes!  David from costumesforalloccasions.com states, “We really mean costumes for ALL occasions.  We offer costumes for school plays, theatrical costumes, costumes for theme parties, and of course, Halloween costumes.  We also have a wide selection of Halloween props and makeup supplies.  Contact us today for help with all your alter-ego wardrobe needs.”

Technologies Used: David continued, “Our website is built using the ShopSite shopping cart software working with a MySQL database and custom API’s.  With so many products in our store, we had to come up with a way to automatically sync our inventory status with our manufacturer’s inventory.  After several years of trying to figure out an elegant solution, we called on Mike Masin at @stuff, LLC.  He wrote a custom API for us to track the thousands of products and got it right the first time, running smooth and got the job done in way less time and at a lower cost than others.

Our site also needed some love as far as the look and functionality were concerned.  Lauren Hills Design was very good at suggestions, making changes quickly and was very affordable.  This was in sharp contrast to other companies who just wanted you to hurry up and send them money after a job was half complete.

LexiConn is our host and we can’t say enough good things about them.  Their customer service is top notch, even answering questions that probably are not in their job description.  The monthly fee is worth the awesome customer service alone.  They are always on top of things and always respond in a timely manner.”

Advice / Tips: David finished, “If I were to start all over again, my three main tips would be to learn as much as you can about SEO and e-commerce, test, test and test again, and never give up on your dreams.  I like to learn new things and try to do as much on my own as I can.  I follow LexiConn’s tips and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.”
