MySQL has been upgraded to version 3.23.55 on all servers. This upgrade was mainly a bugfix and security release. No major changes were made to the way the MySQL server operates.

Over the next few weeks, LexiConn wil be upgrading PHP from version 4.1.2 to the latest 4.3.0 version. LexiConn has completed its compatibility testing for older scripts. All current php scripts should continue to operate normally after the upgrade, as the php.ini file (Which controls the settings for PHP) will not be altered.

PHP 4.3.0 brings many powerful enhancements such as support for the GD 2 library functions (dynamic creation and manipulation of images), freetype font support, support for streams, faster page loads, enhanced performance, and many more security and bugfixes. Read more about the 4.3.0 version at:
    http://www.php.net/release_4_3_0.php

If you notice any problems with a PHP script you have on your site after the upgrade, please let us know.
