Description: Affordable Preservation Company’s online store hosted by LexiConn provides top quality wedding gown cleaning and wedding gown preservation at affordable prices. Being the top online dealer for The Wedding Gown Preservation Company, Affordable Preservation offers its customers 90 plus years of experience in cleaning and preserving wedding dresses. “Our service has simplified the process of handling your gown and includes free nationwide door to door delivery,” states Tom Melberg, co-owner of Affordable Preservation Company. We invite you to visit our online store to see how simple we have made the process of wedding gown cleaning and wedding gown preservation.

Technologies Used: Tom continued, “Affordable Preservation Co. uses ShopSite as the shopping cart on our website. We also had an email campaign with a link to a dedicated landing page. The landing page had Add to Cart and More Info links for products that were not offered anywhere else in our store. The landing page worked well but we knew that our visitors typically visit several pages on the site before they add an item to the cart. If a shopper clicked off of the landing page they would not be able to return to the products offered in the email campaign unless they used the back button. It was determined that we required a dynamic product link solution and we turned to AtStuff to create it for us.

The solution was to create a cookie on the landing page and put JavaScript in the ShopSite templates to dynamically build the Add to Cart and More Info links. ShopSite’s Add to Cart links include the product number as a parameter in the link URL; but they can also use the SKU. If the JavaScript detected the cookie created by the landing page, it inserted the SKU for the special offer products in the Add to Cart link; otherwise, it inserted the SKU for the standard product. Similarly, for the More Info links, the JavaScript built the URL that matched the type of product. The use of these technologies provided a seamless customer experience that gave the correct content for the customer.”

Advice / Tips: “It is crucial that you find a service company like LexiConn, because of the outstanding customer support that we receive. When there is a need to submit a support ticket, the response time to finding the solution is incredibly fast and unlike any of the other hosting companies I have used in the past.

The use of Google Analytics is highly recommended. Knowing the source of our traffic has streamlined the process of knowing which marketing campaigns are effective and quickly shows me where to spend my marketing budget.”
