The process begins with clay and a sense of wonder. My team and I take inspired ideas to task, creating ceramic ware that is pierced, scratched, carved, drilled, glazed and fired into beautifully finished products. These are incorporated into my daily life and subjected to the wonder test to become a wonder-certified J Schatz product.
The wonder test is quite simple. If a product inspires wonder throughout the weeks, months and years that I live with it, the product will be produced.
