* Tips: missing.html page—
Upgraded spam protection software…LexiConn has upgraded the spam protection software to the latest version. This new upgrade brings many new features and improvements. The software has been updated with the latest rules for common spam, has added more realtime blacklist checks, and has a better algorithm for determining spam emails.
The biggest enhancement in this new version is an auto learning system. The software uses a Bayesian filter that analyzes each email received. The filter will record the words found in an email as spam like words if the email scores over 12.0, and will record the words as non-spam if the email scored below 0.7. Basically, the software learns what words you receive in spam and non-spam emails, and applies this to future email analysis. The system does not kick in until 200 spam and 200 non-spam emails have been received that meet the above criteria. After the minimum number of emails is met, the Bayesian filter will add or subtract points based on the previous history of the emails you have received.
The Bayes filter is very effective at helping to block out unwanted email, while allowing through emails that you do not consider spam. The software continues to learn and refine these customized filters as you continue to receive email. The software is automated, so no manual training is required. This option can be turned off under the spam settings in the Account Manager.
If you do not already have spam protection for your account, it can be added for only $3 per month, and can cover all POP boxes for your account. You may order spam protection at:

Tips:missing.html page:
Did you know you can create a webpage that will be displayed anytime someone tries to go to a webpage on your site that no longer exists? This is a great tool for improving your website’s usability, and making your site more user friendly. To take advantage of this feature, simply create a webpage named “missing.html” and place it in your main “www” directory. Then, when someone tries to go to a page on your site that does not
exist, instead of getting the white generic error page, you can show them your own webpage, complete with instructions or an explanation of what to do next.One thing to keep in mind when designing this missing.html page is to make sure all links and images use absolute URL’s and not relative links, as relative links can cause problems if someone was trying to go to a page in a sub-directory.
If you have any questions about this feature, please let us know.
