LexiConn has partnered with RatePoint to offer their consumer feedback management system. As an added bonus, we are able to offer this new program free for the first year! RatePoint provides a valuable service, allowing customers and visitors to your website the ability to submit reviews and feedback about your company through an easy to use system. These reviews can be published for public viewing at your discretion. Additionally, you can place a dynamic seal on your site that will display these reviews, along with your reputation as a consumer approved business. The dynamic seal allows visitors to submit reviews easily. To see it in action, please reference our Testimonials Page:

(and feel free to submit a review/testimonial if you would like). You can also embed a URL in an html email inviting recipients to click and review your company. Click here for a direct link to our reviews page:

This service is a great way to show potential buyers and customers an independently managed review of your business. They can submit and read reviews of your company and you can manage which reviews get published. Negative reviews go through an approval and resolution process, offering you the chance to resolve an issue.
RatePoint’s system is complimentary to other services such as HackerSafe or SSL security seals, and can be a boon to showing your potential customers how much other buyers trust your business.
As a special promotion, LexiConn is offering a free first year membership when you sign up before November 30, 2007. Renewal rates are only $99 per year thereafter, a savings of 33% off the retail price.
More details and the sign up form can be found on our website at:

Mailing List Tips
As you may already know, LexiConn began offering a new mailing list solution several months ago. This system has been positively received by many of our clients, and the whitelisting status that our mailing list servers have with the major ISP’s ensures the greatest deliverability rate for your mailings. Avoid “spammy” subject lines, e.g. overuse of capitalization, $ or % signs, etc. in order to further increase the deliverability rate, so that your mail does not end up in a spam/junk folder. When using the mailing list software, it is important to save your work often while in the editor for either a newsletter or a template. Extended periods of inactivity while logged in should also be avoided. It is also recommended to not use your browser’s back button, but rather use the navigation built into the program. These steps will avoid timeouts and/or errors in the software. Also note that the editor does not work with Safari, so be sure to work in either Internet Explorer or Firefox when using it.
The use of autoresponders can increase customer retention and interaction, thereby leading to an increase in sales. Suggestions include automatically following up with customers who place an order on your site with either an invitation to review their purchase / shopping experience or a coupon code that they can use on a future purchase. Autoresponder follow-ups can even include links to purchase additional products (e.g. best sellers) from your site. Complete instructions on setting up autoresponders can be found at:
http://lists.serverhost.net/admin/resources/tutorials/create_autoresponder.html
Custom fields can also be a great addition to your mailing, as they can serve to personalize an email with any personal data you collect. For example, if you are setup with a custom field to collect first names, instead of saying ‘Hello Friend’, your mailing could be setup to address each person individually, e.g. ‘Hello Bob’ or ‘Hello Mary’. However, be sure to not overuse custom fields, as having a person’s name appear multiple times in one email would look kludgy and have the opposite effect, as the email would no longer feel personalized. Complete instructions on setting up custom fields can be found at:
http://lists.serverhost.net/admin/resources/tutorials/custom_fields.html
Our mailing list program is offered only to hosting clients of LexiConn (Advanced, ShopSite, Resold, or Managed Server). A full breakdown of the features and pricing (free for up to 2,000 emails sent per month) can be found at:
