LexiConn Affiliate/Referral Program…

As you may or may not be aware, LexiConn has a Referral Program that offers you recurring revenue for any accounts that you refer to LexiConn. Your only responsibility is the account referral – no billing or support responsibilities whatsoever. The program works by giving you a recurring percentage of the hosting fees per month for any client that signs up. This referral fee starts after a client has been with LexiConn for 30 days.

Referrals will be counted only if LexiConn can positively identify that the referral came from you directly. This can be accomplished through either the signup form mentioning you as the referrer, you notifying LexiConn of a potential client that will signup for our services, or by using our affiliate referral URL to direct users to LexiConn from your website. You also must have previously signed up for our Referral Program by completing the signup form located at:

Please note, referral commissions cannot be credited retroactively as you must be signed up for the program prior to receive referral credit to your affiliate account. Full details regarding the program, including commission rates can be found at:

Also, for current clients of LexiConn that are not participating in the Referral Program, we offer a hosting credit for any new client referred to our services. The hosting credit will equal the base rate on the current client account for one month of service. This amount will be automatically deducted from the client’s next invoice. To be eligible for this referral credit, LexiConn must be able to positively identify that the referral came from you. Simply have the new customer indicate that they were referred by you on their account signup form and you will be notified when we have credited your account with the referral bonus.

Featured Client – elinemerchandising.com…

LexiConn is pleased to announce that we will begin featuring one client each month in our newsletter. This month’s featured client is elinemerchandising.com. Eline Merchandising sells discount cutlery such as knives, swords, axes, machetes, multi tools and Lord of the Rings weapons.

Both last month’s and this month’s newsletter mention the WordPress blog software that we offer free of charge. Eline Merchandising’s website uses a WordPress blog to provide readers with a wealth of information about the many different subjects revolving around the topic of knives:

WordPress blog software updated to version 2.0.2…

WordPress, the award winning blog software that can be installed from the LexiConn Account Manager, has been upgraded to the latest version, 2.0.2. This release contains several bugfixes and security fixes. Problems addressed include unannounced XSS issues.

All previously installed WordPress software at version 2 have been upgraded. If you have a version prior to this and wish to upgrade to 2.0.2, you may do so following the upgrade instructions from WordPress:

Guestbook script updated to the latest version…

The Guestbook software that can be installed from the LexiConn Account Manager has been upgraded to the latest version, 1.30.

This new version has a few bugfixes and security enhancements to cut down on guestbook spam:

- Removal of Homepage/URL fields to reduce spamming
- Bug fix to prevent non-standard line break combinations from corrupting the database files
- Improved anti-spambot features including image verification and URL screening.
- Display of guest e-mail address is now optional and focus is set on the input and confirmation forms.

Any old guestbooks previously installed have not been upgraded. If you want to have your guestbook upgraded, just let us know.
