LexiConn domain transfer special reminder…

For those of you who may have missed May’s newsletter, we wanted to remind you of our domain transfer special that is in effect until the end of this month. LexiConn is pleased to announce a special rate on all domain transfers from now through June 30, 2005. All transfer orders placed in this time period will receive a renewal rate of $12.50, which is a 50% savings off of our normal rate! Transferring your domain adds a year to your current expiration date, and does not interfere with your website’s functionality in any way. Aside from this special rate, advantages to switching to our registry include an easy to use web interface, and unmatched customer service and support. Note that all transfers are processed manually, so the $25 fee displayed on the screen is not applicable now through June 30, 2005, and no special code is required to receive the $12.50 rate. You will be billed at our normal rate of $25 per year ($20 for renewals of 5 or more years) for all subsequent years, which represents significant savings over Network Solutions and various other registrars.

We are pleased to announce a new SiteBuilder tool offering. This tool is great for anyone looking to easily create a new website, or completely redesign their existing one. phpMyAdmin updated to the latest version…

phpMyAdmin, the web based software tool for managing a MySQL database, has been upgraded to the latest version, 2.6.2-pl1. The new version introduces a new and improved look, as well as added features and bug fixes.

phpMyAdmin can be accessed in the Account Manager under “Site Tools”. It requires that you have previously requested a MySQL database be setup. MySQL is a database server that supports dynamic page creation and integrating database functions into a website or software.

About phpMyAdmin:
phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the web. Currently it can create and drop databases, create, drop, and alter tables, delete, edit, and add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields, manage privileges, export data into various formats and is available in 48 languages.

WordPress Blog software updated to latest version…

The WordPress Blog software has been updated to the latest version (1.5.1.2) in the Account Manager. You may add a blog to your website at no additional charge through the Account Manager. Detailed information can be found under the blog section at:

New features/changes that came out during this release include:

- Paging on the Manage->Posts page
- Improved hierarchy listing in wp_list_pages()
- Support for a Status: theme header field that allows themes to be marked as private, publish, or draft
- Improved caching and database query reduction
- Active plugin and theme highlighting
- Plugins can now have multiple option pages
- Many bug fixes
