EV SSL Secure Certificate Promotion Reminder

Just a quick reminder that our EV SSL certificate promotion is still in effect through the end of August! GeoTrust True Business with EV SSL certificates are available at a special rate of $399 for one year, which is a $300 savings over the regular rate. A two year certificate is $718, which is a $540 savings over the regular rate. This is the best pricing we have ever been able to offer for a True Business with EV SSL certificate. This special offer is valid now through August 31, 2010.

We have a couple of blog posts that expound on this topic in more detail:

Having Multiple Domain Names: Part 2

Last month we discussed owning multiple domain names. We also covered the options of having these additional domain names “parked” onto your main account or not resolving anywhere. Another option you have available to you is to point additional domain names to a specific file or folder in your account.

Having a domain point to a specific file just means that a particular page from within the main account would be served when someone types in that pointed domain name. Having a domain point to specific folder is like having an account within an account.

With this option, the pointed domain is sharing the resources of the main account, e.g. disk space, bandwidth, etc. However, it is indexed separately by search engines, as it is serving unique content from the older or subdirectory to which it is pointed. The outside world, including search engines, would have no way of knowing that it is associated with the main account in any fashion.

Pointed domains with us also include email functionality. While they don’t include a separate Account Manager login with a full featured email options menu, they can be set to mirror the email settings of the main ccount, or all email to a pointed domain name can be forwarded to one specific email address.

Pointed domains can be requested through our website at:

    https://www.lexiconn.com/secure/add_pointed.html

(Note that adding a pointed domain to your account does incur an additional $5 per month fee.)

If you are interested in registering additional domain names through our registry, we offer .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, and .us registrations:
