Lower prices…All Managed Servers at LexiConn have recently been reduced in price. Managed Servers start at only $299 per month. A Managed Server is a dedicated server to one high usage site, but all of the technical details of running your own machine (security, patches, upgrades, monitoring, etc…) are handled by LexiConn. This gives you the freedom to concentrate on your website and business, while not having to worry about managing your own server. Full details can be found at:
http://www.lexiconn.com/services/managed.htmlBandwidth overage charges have also been reduced in price. Overages for all shared accounts are only $7/GB per month, which is a 30% reduction! For a Managed server, the overage charge is $5/month.

Tip: Optimizing spam protection settingsAs spammers continue to evolve, LexiConn’s spam protection system works hard to stay one step ahead of them. There are a few things you can do to help cut down on the spam you are receiving if you are utilizing the spam protection option for your account.
- In the “Modify Spam Settings” section in the Account Manager, you can turn on Realtime Blacklist checking. This causes the software to check the various spam lists on the Internet to see if the sender or the email itself is a known spam source. If it is, it causes the software to have a greater chance of marking the email as spam.
- Make sure you utilize the white and black lists for your mailbox. These lists are what tells the software what emails to always mark as spam, and which to never mark as spam. In this way, you can make sure your common contacts never get tagged, and bothersome addresses that continually spam you will not get through.
We will be upgrading the spam protection software in the near future. This new version will have the latest rules to catch spam emails and a more sophisticated algorithm for learning how to more accurately identify email as a legitimate message, or as unsolicited spam.
