Disk space and bandwidth increased for all shared hosting plans

Effective November 1st, 2004, LexiConn has increased disk space storage, bandwidth limits, and the number of POP boxes allowed for all shared hosting plans. The higher disk space storage and especially the higher bandwidth limits will help alleviate any traffic increase your site might realize during the busy online holiday shopping season.

All current clients of LexiConn have been upgraded to the new plans in our billing system. If you notice a billing problem, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Any invoice generated after the November 1, 2004 effective date reflects the new increased hosting plan specifications.

ShopSite 7.1 released…

ShopSite has released the latest version of their ecommerce software, version 7.1. This new version has many added features, as well as a few bugfixes and improved performance. Some of the main new features are:

- Gift Certificate support (Pro)
- New coupon features (Pro)
- Templatable search results
- New payment gateways, enhanced Paypal support
- Customer Registration improved (no security warnings, direct link to sign-in from any webpage)

LexiConn has extensively tested the new version, and it is a seamless and stable upgrade from any previous version of ShopSite.

Fileman file management updated…

Fileman, the web based file management editor in the LexiConn Account Manager, has been upgraded to the latest version. New features include:

- Upgraded file editor
- Zip file support. Files can now be zipped or unzipped
- Download multiple files now supported
- New “Print” command, for printing out documents/images/etc…
- Interface has a cleaner look
- Many bugfixes and javascript issues have been corrected

Fileman allows you to easily upload and download files, work with files in your account (change permissions, copy, rename, etc…), test perl scripts, edit html pages with a graphical editor, and many more useful features.

It can be accessed in the Account Manager under Site Tools.

ScanAlert service – hacker safe…

LexiConn is pleased to announce a special offer in partnership with ScanAlert. ScanAlert offers a secure, dynamic image that can be placed on your website that tells your customers that your site is safe from hackers and has been certified to be a safe shopping location on the web.
