PCI Compliance

Maintaining PCI Compliance is a never ending battle, especially with frequent policy changes. LexiConn can help you keep up with these changes and achieve compliance.

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of requirements designed to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment. If your business falls into this category, then your merchant account provider is likely requiring this compliance from you, or assessing you a fee for non-compliance.

In March, PCI DSS version 3.0 was released and it introduced several changes. One major change was that it now treats TLS v1.0, which is a type of SSL encryption, as a vulnerability. They have listed June 30, 2016 as a deadline to no longer allow TLS 1.0 to be used. However, some PCI scanning vendors are already marking it as a failure. We recommend leaving it enabled for now, as you do not want to potentially negatively impact your customers, as turning off TLS 1.0 could affect their ability to use your website, depending on their computer/browser.
