Make your site searchable with Swish…

One of the best things you can do to make navigation of your site easy for your visitors is to install a site search engine. You can easily install the Swish search engine on any account through the LexiConn Account Manager. Swish is a search engine that creates an index of all the words in your website and makes your web pages searchable, ranking results based on the number of times a word appears, whether it is in the title of a webpage, etc. The results page can be customized to match the look and feel of the rest of your site. Swish can be setup to automatically reindex your site each week, or you can reindex the site yourself any time that you make changes. In order to find out what your visitors are looking for when they search your site, you will want to take advantage of one of our newest modules, the Search Statistics Module. This module is offered on our ShopSite modules page, but can work with the Swish engine as well. We offer this module free of charge to our hosted clients, and we perform the installation for you. The module records the search keywords entered, the number of results returned, and the IP and date/time of the search. This data is then arranged for easy viewing. The data can let you know what people are looking for on your site, common misspellings that can help you adjust your keywords, and also the number of results returned on each search (including zero). This month’s featured client is audiobooksonline.com. Audiobooks Online, web merchants of audiobooks since 1994, offers thousands of titles on cassette, compact disc, MP3 CD, and Audiofy book chip at http://www.audiobooksonline.com and more than 27,000 digital downloadable
titles through their partnership with Audible.com at

WordPress blog software updated to latest version – 2.0.4…

WordPress, the blog software system that is easily added to any account via the LexiConn Account Manager, has been updated to the latest version, 2.0.4. This new version is a bug and security release.
