Google Offerings

A brief overview of a few offerings from Google.

Google Shopping

Search results on Google Shopping are built on Product Listing Ads, and are a great way to drive paid traffic and sales to your website. These listings are typically populated via an automated or manually generated feed. Google has recently announced that there will be spec changes to its feed, effective September 15th. Google Webmaster Tools

Google Webmaster Tools, also known as Google Search Console is a free web service provided by Google. Among other things, it allows you to check your site’s indexing status and optimize the visibility of your site. Organic keywords are now one of the many pieces of information you can obtain via this console (Search Traffic -> Search Queries). Anyone with a website should be taking advantage of this service. Google Analytics

Google Analytics is the most widely used web analytics service, and is offered for free by Google. It is integrated with Adwords and can give you detailed metrics on conversions as well as many other site statistics. If you are configuring it for the first time, the latest universal analytics (analytics.js) is the recommended tracking type. This latest code is integrated in recent versions of ShopSite and can be easily added to other ecommerce carts as well. For more information on the product, reference:

ShopSite v12 SP1 r4 Released

ShopSite recently released a new update for its award winning software. This latest version is version 12 Service Pack 1 revision 4 (12 SP1 r4). All stores that were previously running version 12 SP1 have automatically been upgraded to this latest release.
