Description: Unified Safety is located in Draper, Utah and was formed in 1990 and later incorporated in 1996 by Jim Hess Sr. after he retired from a twenty year career in law enforcement. Jim was also a Whelen factory representative for twelve years in the rocky mountain region. The company is now one of Whelen’s largest master distributors in the western United States with over 30 years in public safety vehicle equipment.

Unified Safety offers clients better service by concentrating efforts into a few specialized areas. Business is also limited to just a few vendors to insure quality and readily available stock. Locally, service is the key to the company’s success, as Unified Safety provides first class installation and repair services.

Technologies Used: Unified Safety utilizes the ShopSite software to power its online store. The site also makes use of two LexiConn add-on modules for ShopSite: the Order Status Module and the Fraud Deterrent Module. The site also has it’s own SSL certificate, provisioned by GeoTrust.
