WordPress has released version 2.8.3, which is a security fix release. This fixes privilege escalation issues found in earlier 2.8 versions. It is highly recommended that all earlier 2.8 versions upgrade to this release.

If you have an existing blog that is newer than version 2.6, you can run the auto upgrade from the WordPress dashboard (using your FTP username/password) and it should automatically upgrade your blog. If you’re having any problems, let us know, and we can help with the upgrade.

Any new one click blog installs from the LexiConn Account Manager will be at the 2.8.3 release version.
