    ez.newsletter ShopSite module

As you know, LexiConn offers a low cost email marketing system that can integrate with ShopSite and allow you to send out newsletters and announcements to your customers. If you are looking for something more that can better integrate your sales data with your email marketing efforts, ez.newsletter may be a great solution.

LexiConn has partnered with ez.newsletter to offer their email marketing software and ShopSite Customer Management Module. As an added bonus, we are able to offer their module absolutely free to you along with a 30 day trial of their email marketing software.

The ShopSite Customer Management Module is an ez.newsletter add-on component that is built to work with all of the ez.newsletter features and any ShopSite store. With the complete system, you can create e-newsletters and surveys, send targeted marketing blasts to email contact lists, track ShopSite store sales through detailed reports, and much more! The module makes it easy to understand and predict your customers’ needs, allowing you to target promotions and build your customer base with the click of a button.

One of the most innovative features of the ShopSite Customer Management Module is the ability to report on the sales resulting from each newsletter you send out, and see what products your recipients were inspired to purchase. Not only can you see what people have bought the most, you can see individual customers’ order histories and determine what products go with their purchases that they may not have. Then, you can filter customers with similar purchase potential into one list to use with a new, targeted campaign.

As a special promotion, LexiConn customers are receiving a Free 30 day trial of ez.newsletter PLUS the ShopSite Customer Management Module and Module setup free!

Are you still using the IP address?

Many clients have their ShopSite auth file initially set to their IP address, due to the fact that their domain was not active with us at the time of their account creation. The auth file is then later updated by us to use the domain name once we are notified that the account is active. If your auth file is still set to your IP address, but your DNS is set properly to point to your account with us, let us know and we can make the update for you. We highly recommend doing this, as it can lead to increased buyer confidence, since the shopping cart URL will now stay on your domain name instead of switching to the IP. Furthermore, this change can lead to an increase in search engine placement.

The replace is seamless and will not cause you any downtime. We will also update all links accordingly to use the domain name rather than the IP address. Once we complete this update, you will want to replace the IP with the domain name in any local copy of your website that you may have so that it is in synch with the server copy. This is of particular importance if you use the OrderAnywhere feature of ShopSite, as all order links must begin with the same URL. Again, we will take care of all the replacements server-side and no downtime will be incurred. An easy way to check what your auth file is set to is to look under the ‘Store Settings’ section at the ‘Store URL’ field, located in your backoffice under Preferences -> Hosting Service.
