SMTP Authentication…

SMTP authentication is now available on the following shared servers: drum, seal, eel, tope, and blue. In order to find out what server your account is on, you may look under the Account Management -> Details screen (which is the default screen you are brought to upon login) of the LexiConn Account Manager:

SMTP authentication allows for you to send email through your hosting account without having to first perform a POP box check. In order to take advantage of this, you would check the box in your email program for ‘My server requires authentication’, and the settings you would use are the same as your incoming server. All other shared servers not mentioned above will continue to use the POP before SMTP method of authentication.

PHP 5 and MySQL 5 now available…

LexiConn is pleased to announce that we now support both PHP 5 and MySQL 5. If your site is currently using PHP/MySQL version 4, and you do not need anything specific to the new version 5, then there is no need to alter your current setup. If your site needs something specific to version 5, please send us an email to support@lexiconn.com and we will make the necessary arrangements. Here are some links that may be of help to you:

Featured Client – compliancesigns.com…

This month’s featured client is ComplianceSigns.com. ComplianceSigns.com established its presence on the web in 2005, and has quickly become a leading supplier of OSHA- and ANSI-compliant safety signs and labels, as well as a wide variety of other safety and directional signage commonly used by most businesses.
