    LexiConn – September Newsletter
    ====================================

    In this month’s issue:
    * LexiConn now offers SSL (secure) certificates
    * New Urchin 5 release
    * Off-site Emergency Status page in place

    LexiConn now offers SSL (secure) certificates…

    LexiConn, in partnership with Tucows and GeoTrust, is now offering SSL (secure) certificates for use with your website. SSL certificates are used to encrypt sensitive data that your users are entering into forms on your site and this is what enables the “keylock” in your web browser to be highlighted when you are visiting a secure web page. This is most commonly used in ecommerce / shopping carts, or any situation where sensitive data is being transmitted via a web based form.

    GeoTrust SSL secure certificates allow full 128 bit encryption with identity authentication and 98%+ browser compatibility. In addition to these great features, LexiConn is offering these certificates at a substantial discount as compared to Verisign along with a much faster approval process. Prices for the QuickSSL certificate start at $149 per year, whereas Verisign pricing starts at $349 for the first year and $249 per year thereafter.

    Full details on these certificates can be found on our website at:
    http://www.lexiconn.com/services/secure_certificates.html

    Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have about this new offering. You can reference information about GeoTrust on their web site at:

    New Urchin 5 release…

    Urchin has released version 5 of its statistical analysis software, and all clients with Urchin statistics have been upgraded. This latest release brings many new and exciting features such as:

    - 3D graphs and charts, with ability to import into Word and Excel
    - Upgraded UTM (Urchin tracking module) now giving stats on
    screen resolution, timezone offset, javascript settings, and more
    - Direct export of data to excel
    - More accurate unique visitor reporting
    - New robots and spider reports

    A full list of features can be found at:

    LexiConn has also released an ecommerce add-on for Urchin that can integrate with any ShopSite Pro store. This add-on module offers revenue tracking that can be used to measure advertising effectiveness and offer an analysis of which links and websites are bringing you the most sales. More information can be found on our website at:

    Off-site Emergency Status page in place…

    LexiConn has added an off-site emergency status page that will be used to provide updated information and details in the event of a network wide outage or problem. This webpage will ONLY be updated when there is a network wide issue that is affecting all hosted sites, including our main lexiconn.com website. This off-site emergency status page was created so that we can disseminate information to all of our clients if there was ever a complete network outage that prevented access to our main site at
    lexiconn.com.

    The new off-site emergency status page can be found at:
    http://www.lexiconnstatus.com/

    We recommend adding this web address to your favorites or bookmarking it so that is is easily accessible if necessary.

    For regular status information and network monitoring (updated every three minutes), please reference the normal Network Status page at:
