The highly customized Majordomo mailing lists that LexiConn offers now have the ability to handle bounced emails (ie those that are bad addresses) automatically. No more manually removing bad addresses, or deleting 100′s of bounces each time you post to your list.

The system works by detecting any bounced email to the list owner and checking whether the destination email address is valid anymore. If it is not, the email address is marked as bouncing once. If the address bounces a second time, the address is added to the bounce list. The list owner will not receive these “bounce” emails anymore.

You can then login via the Control Panel and view the bounce list. You can also have the system remove these addresses from your list by clicking one button. The system is easy to use, and can help to keep your list “fresh” and up to date.

Note: If you already have a Majordomo mailing list that was setup before May 31, 2002, and would like to have this feature enabled for your list(s), drop us an email and we can upgrade your list to take advantage of this new feature.

About Majordomo with LexiConn: LexiConn offers a highly customized version of Majordomo to handle all mailing lists. This version is completely web based, offering an easy to use menu in the Control Panel to customize all aspects of your list such as headers, footers, user management, posting, handling bounces, and more. Each list can be setup as a newsletter type list or discussion list, with the ability to require user confirmation upon joining.

LexiConn also provides easy to run CGI scripts that can be used to have a subscribe or unsubscribe text box on any webpage that will add the person’s email address or remove it from your mailing list.

A Majordomo mailing list can handle anywhere from 1 to thousands of subscribers without any problem.
