WP Updates Notifier

The WP Updates Notifier is a lightweight plugin that notifies WordPress administrators whenever an updated core program, plugin or theme  is released.  Keeping your WordPress platform up-to-date is your best defense against would-be hackers attempting to exploit vulnerable plugins/themes.

1.  From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.



2.  Find “WP Updates Notifier” and click Activate.


3.  Below are the configurable settings for this plugin.  Below are the recommend settings.  We highly suggest setting the frequency to 'Daily'.  The plugin will only send a notification if a plugin or theme has an update pending.
