Description: LegsTherapy.com is a small company, that was started in 2011 and is located in Coral Springs, FL.  They carry over 15,000 SKUs on the web today.  Nicolas from legstherapy.com states, “We provide various compression support garments.  These range from compression stockings for men and women, support hosiery, support hose, support socks, travel socks, diabetic socks, athletic sleeves, braces, other accessories and more.  Premium brands like Jobst, Mediven, Sigvaris and Therafirm are just some of the many brands that have proven their name in the compression support garment industry, and you will find all of them at LegsTherapy.com.”

Technologies Used: Nicolas continued,  “We started legstherapy.com on Magento and we have been very happy with the platform.  We started with version 1.4 and we are now running 1.9.  We were able to manage the upgrades fairly easily.  There are a lot of extensions available and many developers who are familiar with the ecommerce platform, which are huge pluses.  For example, we send automatic emails to our customers once they receive their items to write a review on our website.  We do this with a simple extension that took us two minutes to install.

LexiConn has been great, and advised us to use a VPS for the site.  We noticed the difference right away compared to our previous hosting company.  The site was clearly running faster.  Adding a CDN with Edgecast and a few extensions from Extendware recommended by LexiConn made another difference in terms of page speed and overall improved the user experience.

LexiConn has been a great partner and we do value their inputs very much.  They are very responsive and always available to help on any topics or questions.  With our previous hosting company, we could not figure out why we were not indexed on Bing and Yahoo, thereby leaving money on the table.  When we switched to LexiConn, they immediately found the culprit and we started getting traffic and orders from these search engines.”

Advice / Tips: Nicolas finished, “Our products have so many different attributes and options that it can be a challenge to find an item.  Firstly, we did replace the default Magento site search with Blast Search Lucene, which really improved speed and relevancy of the results.  Secondly, we did develop in house a product selector which is on every single page of the website on the right hand side.  From compression level, style, conditions, fabric, toe type, and more, it helped our customers narrow down their selection and this improved our conversion rate.”
