Register Globals may be on or off by default depending on your server. If you would like to force register globals on or off you will need to add or a .htaccess file in your /www directory as follows:

php_flag register_globals on

OR

php_flag register_globals off

Similarly, "magic quotes" may be enabled or disabled by adding or editing the same .htaccess file as follows:

php_flag magic_quotes_gpc on

OR

php_flag magic_quotes_gpc off
